Restaurant Summary by Allan Borgen:

Forget the large chain cookie-cutter restaurants, Connal’s in Upland may be considered a “fast food” restaurant but once you have sampled their varied menu you’ll never go back to the same old boring food again.

Connal’s is a free standing fast food restaurant decked out in red and white with lots of 50’s & 60’s memorabilia. All items are made fresh when ordered and most everything is made on the premises including the delicious crispy breaded fried zucchini and onion rings. I have to mention that the fried Zucchini sticks are some of the best I’ve ever had, they magically stay crispy all day and aren’t greasy, what a winner. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Connal’s is a great alternative to the boring large chain fast food restaurants with pre-made foods.

You must try the Bacon, Avocado and Cheeseburger Combo, Italian Grinder, Pastrami Sandwich and Pastrami Chili Fries-oh my! Like the original Connal’s in Pasadena, Connal’s #2 is yet another winning restaurant in the Inland Valley.

  1. The first time I tried Connal’s was at their original location in Pasadena, and I absolutely loved the food. When they decided to open up a second location closer to home, I was a little skeptical as to whether they would keep the same quality of food and service as the original. I had no reason to worry, they were just as good as the original. From the many breakfast items to the hamburgers to the burritos, everything on the menu is fresh and flavorful. The fries are cooked perfectly, and the onion rings are phenomenal. The prices are very reasonable and they always have some sort of a daily special. This is a great place to get a bite to eat and just hang out with friends/family.

  2. This little place is better than I expected- it has some good diner food, cute 50s atmosphere, and a very friendly staff. I enjoyed it and will be coming back :)
