Restaurant Summary by Allan Borgen:
There are many Chinese fast food restaurants, but have you ever been to an Indian fast food restaurant? Welcome to Curry in a Hurry. This specialty fast food concept is causing quite a lot of excitement in Redlands. The restaurant is located on the corner of Tennessee and Brookside in a small shopping center and is decked out with brightly colored orange, white and dark green walls with photos of the many herbs and spices that are commonly used in the preparation of Indian cuisine hung over each booth for all to see and read about. This is a really good idea since Indian food is one of the most misunderstood cuisines of the world yet one of the most healthiest and flavorsome foods to eat. Some of my favorite dishes include; the Samosas with potatoes, peas, ginger, chili and spices mashed together and fried in a flakey pastry, the Chicken Tikka Masala, fairly large pieces of tender chicken meat slowly cooked in a delicious and pungent sauce seasoned with cardamom, cinnamon, garlic, onions, ginger, coriander, and a little cream, the delicious Saag Paneer, Indian creamed spinach with homemade cheese and the terrific Mango Chicken to name a few. Fresh, delicious and all at low prices, that’s my kind of restaurant!
