Restaurant Summary by Allan Borgen:
Everest Restaurant in Upland is a large free standing restaurant that may look like a typical fast food restaurant but unlike the large chain restaurants, all of the food is made to order so you know that the food will be hot and delicious. Open for over 10 years, this popular family restaurant makes most everything fresh on the premises like their French fries, salad dressings, chili and their hand breaded zucchini, mushrooms and onions.
When I first stopped in for a sandwich and some fries, I was quite impressed at the quality of the items I ordered and at the prices they charged. Opting to go for freshness rather than packaged, the food here is as fresh as shown by their French fries which are made from potatoes that they cut on the premises. In addition to quality ingredients, the portions are more than ample and some are even “too large”. As stated before, the prices are excellent and the employees seem attentive and caring. Who said all fast food is bad for you? My favorite items are the Foot Long Chili Dog, The California Combo, The Fish Burrito, The Avocado and Bacon Cheeseburger and their Tacos. The fresh homemade French fries are delicious, especially when topped with their chilli, which I’m a huge fan of.
Speaking of chili, their all meat chili is reminiscent of the chili made at Tommy’s but is a whole lot better. I love this chili! One thing is for sure, no shortcuts are taken. Whether you dine in or stay in you car and go thru the drive thru window, your stomach and wallet will not be disappointed.
