Restaurant Summary by Allan Borgen:

There is nothing better than BBQ Ribs, Pulled Pork and you know, all those other great BBQ Foods we devour when grilling in our back yard. Why bother when you have Mill Creek Cattle Company BBQ Restaurant in Redlands.

Mill Creek Cattle Company is the small twin of the Original Mill Creek BBQ Restaurant in Mentone, CA but offers most of the same great food items that the original offers but in a smaller location. The dining room is decked out with lots of Western Memorabilia while the kitchen is busily making most everything on site including their buns and rolls. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can be assured your entire family will love the delicious food and will walk away full and content.

  1. Mill Creek is by far one of my favorite barbecue restaurants outside of the barbecue “hot spots”. They take pride in slow-smoking high quality meats with the tender care of someone who takes extreme pride in their work. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the portions are definitely ones that can be shared by two people for those with smaller appetites (or smaller pocketbooks). The Triple Treat plate is definitely the way to go if you are a first timer. You get three different meats plus your choice of two sides (I recommend the onion rings and three-cheese potatoes) and one of their amazing corn bread muffins. Their muffins are so good that my wife, who doesn’t like corn bread, loves these muffins. If you’re more up for a burger, then you are in for a treat. The buns used on all the burgers are wonderful and baked on fresh on the premises. My favorites so far have been the Jack and Bleu burger and the Cali burger. I don’t suggest going for the Double Stacked or the Big Ed unless you are REALLY hungry as I have a hard enough time eating the regular 1/3 pound burgers. Overall, if you like barbecue, you should love Mill Creek Cattle Company.

  2. The food looks really good but there is always something missing. And as far as bbq goes, it falls way short of acceptable. I’ve eaten here a good many times as it is close to my work and I always leave disappointed.

  3. This was my first time at Mill Creek and I have to say this is one of the best places for barbecue chicken in Redlands. The chicken meal comes with two sides and a cornbread muffin. I chose the steamed kale and coleslaw and for a reasonable $6.99. The meal was delicious. If you like a quiet environment, you’ll enjoy this place. It’s a little bit tucked away across from Splash Kingdom–or what most everyone still calls “Pharoah’s Lost Kingdom.” Not the best location because it’s kind of hard to see from the street, but I’ll definitely find my way back!

  4. I used to love the “famous” competitor, and the other one in Highland, but now I am a tried and true Mill Creek BBQ patron. The best BBQ I’ve found. Been here a few times, and each time it’s just as good as the first time. I only wish they had the “burnt ends & pieces”….that is my favorite from the other place. But, the Sloppy Pig sandwich Memphis Style is awesome! The deep fried pickles are wonderful! Been there with friends, family and by myself. So, when I have a taste for BBQ….it’s Mill Creek for sure!
