Restaurant Summary by Allan Borgen:

Located next to the Edwards Jurupa Stadium 14 theater in Jurupa Valley is a neat restaurant & sports bar called The Beach Grill & Bar. As you enter, you are greeted by tropical  themed thatched roofs, bamboo curtains and lots of surf boards adorning the walls along with a huge fully stocked bar with lots of draft beers.  You’ll discover 10 TV screens as well a small area featuring a few pool tables, a dart machine and a digital jukebox. The exciting menu features lots of items that you normally don’t find in this type of restaurant but is sure a welcoming site for those of us who like to eat.

Some of my favorites include the unique and delicious Pineapple Coconut Habanero Hot Wings, the 12oz. juicy aged and hand cut New York Steak, the slowly cooked mesquite 16oz. Prime Rib, and two of their huge hand crafted half-pound burgers, the Guido which consists of ground beef , pepperoni and Italian Sausage in one patty topped with fresh bruschetta, provolone cheese, lettuce and a herb mayo; while I can’t get enough of the popular Okee, a half pound burger topped with 4 ounces of shaved prime rib, caramelized onions, sliced jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, cheddar & pepper jack cheese. Both come with fries and are excellent burgers!

Other items I recommend include the Angel Hair Pesto with the rich and creamy pesto and cheese sauce, the hefty Tsunami Sandwich, layers of sliced beef, turkey, ham, bacon, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and avocado on a Hoagie roll.

I really like the attention put into each dish and know you will love this restaurant while watching your favorite sports team or just enjoying some excellent food along with your favorite beverage. Just as a heads up, they currently only serve breakfast on Sundays, but be sure to try the delicious crabcake eggs benedict.

  1. I came in at 2:00 p.m. on a Tuesday. Only 3 patrons were there, all at the bar. I was promptly seated and given my choice of beverage– water. I ordered the $10.00 Tsunami Sandwich. It was delivered in 10 minutes. The Tsunami is:
Sliced prime rib, turkey, ham, bacon, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado on a hoagie roll, with a ton of fries.

It was a great, “bodacious” sandwich. I could only eat 3/4 of it and couldn’t even start on the fries, so I had some great leftovers for home. This place has many big screen TVs tuned to sports events as well as surfing paraphernalia. The place deserves more business than it seems to be getting. I would go back again.

  2. Just a note: I called last Sunday to ask about the Eggs Benedict but was told that they were not available. So check ahead if that’s what you want. It’s only supposed to be available on Sundays.

  3. Review of The Beach, 8022 Limonite Ave, Riverside, CA (951) 360-4700

I arrived on a Monday at 12:30 p.m. and was seated promptly. The place has many big screen TVs, tuned to various sports events. It is also decorated with all sorts of surfing paraphernalia. There were only 10 patrons, not much of a lunch crowd.

Using my $10 gift coupon from FeedMe411, I ordered the massive Guido Hamburger for $11. It arrived in 13 minutes. “The Guido” is Beef, Pepperoni and Italian Sausage all ground together on a Bruschetta Bun with Provolone Cheese, Lettuce and Herb Mayo. There was a massive pile of Fries on the side, with a tasty Roasted Pepper.

It was delicious but I could only eat the hamburger, leaving the fries to be eaten at home. BTW– The waiter filled my water glass multiple times and had an attitude, but it was an enjoyable attitude.

  4. Take my kids in for Taco Tuesday, Good Tacos and homemade chips and occasionally we stop in for burgers or a specialty sandwich. The burgers are the best in town.

  5. OMG. I finally got to try Beach Sports bar and restaurant in RIverside (Jurupa) today. I won a 10.00 gift to go there, and I have had to wait a few weeks. It is not close to me. I finally made it today. I arrived and was promptly greeted and waited in. The service was excellent. A couple of years ago, Allan did a review and had steak. I have never forgot that review as he was raving about the steaks. I decided to try them also. I ordered the Rib Eye steak, added a salad. Since I went mid afternoon, they did not have baked potatoes or au gratin potatoes, so I just ordered the french fries. My diner started with an above average salad. The greens were real fresh, and it came with great tomatoes and cucumbers, along with croutons. It was a great combo. Then came the steak. I have to say this was one of the best steaks I have ever had ordering out. The steak was absolutely perfect. Tender, juicy, flavorful, grilled absolutely perfect. Allan, you were 100% right with the steaks. The surprise were the french fries that came with it. They were done absolutely perfect. Thin cut fries, seasoned with salt and pepper. I just expected regular fries…but…these were perfect. The steak was huge. I brought most of it home as I felt leftover steak would reheat better than leftover french fries, and I was not going to leave any fries. I would absolutely recommend this resaturant. The service was excellent, the food excellent, and the surroundings were fun. I went there for an early diner, but, it looked like a real fun place to have some drinks, appitizers, and watchsports. I would rate it a 5 our of 5.

  6. Just had the fettuccini Alfredo with broccoli and I accepted the option to add shrimp. Pasta and sauce were perfect and the broccoli was excellent. The shrimp were larger than I expected, plump and juicy. Very good. My wife had shrimp scampi, which came with rice and asparagus, and she was very pleased. Our waitress Madison was attentive and personable. She came by our table several times without being intrusive to check on our drinks and and ask if we needed anything else.
    Excellent overall experience.
